Miss Earth India
Miss Earth India is a title given to an Indian woman who represents India at Miss Earth, which is an annual international beauty pageant promoting environmental awareness. The national pageant of Miss Earth for India is conducted by Glamanand Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. to which Carousel Productions, the owner of Miss Earth, awarded the franchise to Glamanand Entertainment Pvt. The previous franchise holder for Miss Earth in India is Femina Miss India, where the title was named "Femina Miss India Earth".
With one Miss Earth winner (2010), two Miss Earth - Air winners (2006 and 2007) and numerous finalists, India is considered as the fourth best performing country in Miss Earth. (See Miss Earth country rankings)
The current Miss Earth India titleholder is Aaital Khosla of Chandigarh . The campaigners uploaded a campaign video for Miss Earth India showing scenes from Mount Everest and Nepal claiming it to be India created outrage in Nepal. She is the first Miss Earth India under Glamanand and she was crowned on 4 November 2015 at Courtyard Marriott Hotel in Gurgaon.
